  • What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy (also known as psychotherapy, counseling, or “talk therapy”) and coaching are two similar but distinct types of service, which studies have shown can help people live their best lives. The difference between them is not always clear, but is often articulated in terms of past-future orientation: Therapy often focuses on helping people heal from the past, whereas coaching aims to get people to where they would like to be in the future. The most important distinguishing factor between psychotherapists and coaches is that psychotherapists are trained and licensed to diagnose and treat mental illness, but coaches are not. If you are unsure whether to choose psychotherapy, counseling or coaching, take the quiz: Is Coaching Right For Me?
  • Who is fertility and family coaching for?
Whether you're cis, trans, male, female, binary, non-binary, LGBTQ+, or just trying to figure it all out, your reproductive organs play a role in your life, whether or not you want them to. A coach isn't there to tell you WHAT to do, they're specially trained to provide structured support and a safe place to explore your own personal goals in a way you may never have done before. Coaching is not suitable as a standalone option if you are struggling with a mental health conditions, such as clinical depression. It is imperative that you seek out a mental health professional either before or while you are seeing a coach.
  • How much does it cost?
You can book a minimum of 4X 1-1 coaching sessions with a Board Certified ELANZA coach for $350. This includes an initial onboarding session (45min) and three subsequent sessions (30min). BUT you can get them covered for FREE if your employer offers it as an inclusive and accessible employer benefit! Email to see how to get your company setup. FUN FACT: Research states that you'll receive significant benefit by 4 sessions but that the value of the sessions increases at 6 and continues to stay at that peak value as you continue with your sessions. They call it the "dosage curve" of coaching.
  • How can coaching help?
Coaching has been shown to increase psychological capital and improve lives. Regular sessions help people get in tune with their personal values and identify the things holding them back, leading to improved goal attainment, increased resilience, lower stress, higher emotional intelligence and better relationships. At ELANZA we look at coaching like a staircase. Coaching supports you in building that staircase one step at a time. Each step builds confidence and propels you closer to your goals using science-backed tools and research.. When you're given an effective framework to lift these pressures, who knows what types of personal growth and epiphanies you'll uncover?
  • What happens if I don't use all my sessions?
Your coaching sessions are valid for up to 6 months and can be booked around your own schedule, as they align with that of your coach's. Because coaching is an additive exercise in which each session builds upon the last, we highly encourage everyone to use all 4 sessions before making a decision as to whether or not to proceed with more (just for perspective: more than 94% of people that use all 4 sessions continue with coaching). That said, coaching isn't for everyone and that's OK! Most importantly, if you are struggling with untreated depression or anxiety, it is imperative that you seek out a mental health professional either before or while you are seeing a coach. Check out our quiz on the homepage to see if you're ready for coaching right now. Rest assured, if you are not pleased with your coaching sessions, you can email us directly at ( and you will receive a refund for any unused sessions.
