Doctor Bio

Dr. Richard Lucidi is an OB/GYN who also specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Lucidi became the first director of VCU Health's newly formed division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility in 2010. He enjoys teaching medical students and residents, as well as conducting clinical studies in polycystic ovary syndrome and in vitro fertilization.
Dr. Lucidi was the head of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and the medical and practice director at Tripler IVF Institute before moving to Richmond. Dr. Lucidi is currently an associate professor in VCU School of Medicine's Department of OB/GYN Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Lucidi combines experience with cutting-edge methods only accessible at top academic medical centers. Infertile couples have a lot of concerns about care and fertility choices. Both aspects of reproductive endocrinology and infertility are treated by Dr. Lucidi and his staff, who offer consultations, examinations, and treatments. The center also offers advanced and targeted services. Cancer patients and survivors will also benefit from the center's advanced and concentrated programs.
Dr. Lucidi grew up in the army and has traveled around a lot. The Army sent him to Hawaii for four years after completing his medical training. He returned to Virginia after leaving the army. He enjoys scuba diving, golf, travel, and woodworking with his wife and two daughters.
