Doctor Bio

At our Albany IVF clinic, Dr. Sonia Elguero is the Chief Reproductive Endocrinologist. She is an expert in all elements of fertility treatment.
She is board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Obstetrics & Gynecology.
She was mentored and taught by the late infertility specialist Peter Horvath, MD, who encouraged her to help people and couples accomplish their dream of having a child.
Dr. Elguero earned her medical degree from Memorial University of Canada and went on to Albany Medical Center for her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and Case Western Reserve University for her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She also did a year of post-graduate studies in Cardiovascular Pharmacology at Memorial University.
