We started ELANZA Wellness after personal experiences of fertility treatments.
Getting our eggs frozen in our thirties made us realise first-hand that the decisions and process could and should be made simpler, clearer and more empowering for women in our shoes.
Our first step was co-writing the book "Everything Egg Freezing: The Essential Step by Step Guide to Doing it Right" as a one-stop, science-based guide for women considering the treatment.
We heard a lot of fears and uncertainty about fertility and best steps to preserve it from our friends and peers — and also found ourselves left with a million different questions even after consultations with doctors.
As women not yet ready for kids, should we be freezing our eggs? If so, what's the best way of going about it? How to pay for it? Were there other things we could be doing to preserve fertility?
Unlike many other aspects of womanhood, fertility preservation isn't something ours moms, aunts, and other female guides in our lives could easily help us with! And while fertility doctors can be great at explaining the medical aspects of treatment, the reality is that the medical considerations and drivers are not the full picture for most of us. Thinking about fertility and future fertility involves more than that: there are financial, social, cultural, religious, career and relationship inputs, too.
After we wrote the doctor-approved guide, we went to work building ELANZA Wellness.
