    Doctor Bio

Dr. Schutt is an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology in Baylor College of Medicine's division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology has accredited Dr. Amy Schutt in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Schutt is a gynecologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of reproductive and hormonal problems. She provides cutting-edge treatments with a compassionate approach that stems from her own experience as an infertility patient. Dr. Schutt's own daughter was born by in-vitro fertilization (IVF), which fueled her interest in the field of reproductive health and gave her a better understanding of what her patients face.
Dr. Schutt is a specialist surgeon who has received thorough training in cutting-edge procedures that offer new hope in even the most difficult reproductive and endocrinology situations, such as unusual congenital abnormalities of the reproductive tract. She considers it very satisfying to provide her patients with continuity of care, assisting women in conceiving after effective surgical treatment.
Dr. Schutt's study is advancing the treatment and understanding of reproductive and endocrinology disorders, including the impact of maternal health factors like diet and obesity on a woman's fertility and her baby's long-term health.
She's also a reproductive endocrinologist who assesses and treats hormonal disorders including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which she's particularly interested in.
