Even if your ELANZA clinician prescribes you ORIAHNN, it was not specifically studied in women with anemia. Before starting ORIAHNN, 100 women in the 2 ORIAHNN clinical trials had low levels of hemoglobin, which can be a sign of anemia. After taking ORIAHNN for 6 months, many of these women (about 5 in 10) saw an increase in their hemoglobin levels compared with nearly 2 in 10 women taking placebo. It is important to note that most of these women (90%) also took an iron supplement.
