Doctor Bio

Gad Lavy, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., is the medical director and founder of New England Fertility (NEF), the state of Connecticut's first non-hospital-based outpatient in vitro fertilization (IVF) center. Dr. Lavy completed his internship at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut where he served on the medical faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, after receiving his training at Hadassah Medical School at Hebrew University in Israel.
Dr. Lavy was an assistant professor in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at Yale University School of Medicine for four years and served as the director of the Yale program for assisted reproduction until establishing New England Fertility in 1991.
Dr. Lavy is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who also specializes in reproductive endocrinology. He is a medical staff member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut, and a consultant physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Connecticut, in addition to being the medical director of New England Fertility. Dr. Lavy is a widely known speaker and author on the subjects of infertility, assisted reproductive technology (ART), gestational surrogacy, and egg donation. He is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Society of Reproductive Surgeons.
